I never thought I could feel so bad as when I saw the mouse.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It was a he, or she, who kept leaving little spots around the house.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

So, today I caught a mouse, and I feel so sad that I could cry,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

cause now, I have to sit and watch it die.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I’m sorry, Mister, I didn’t mean to eat your crumbs from the floor!<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Today I caught a mouse, but how can I ever forget its eyes,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

as it struggled and fought to run from me with it\u2019s cries.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I thought I was clever, and set a trap that glued it to a pad,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I never thought that seeing it caught would make me so sad.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

So, today I caught a mouse, and now must try it set free<\/strong><\/h4>\n

from a glue so strong, that it could capture even me.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I tried my best to free it\u2019s tail, and then a leg, and paw,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

but no matter what I did, it became stuck, even more.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hey! I’m stuck.. Help me! Please!!!<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yes, today I caught a mouse, but now I\u2019m crying like a fool.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Hey! Its only a mouse\u2026 its only a mouse, so I should be cool,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

so why do I feel so bad about myself, at being such a louse;<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Just because I caught a mouse that was\u00a0living happily in my house.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It\u2019s not dead as yet, but soon will be,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

cause no matter what, I cannot set it free.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Now all I can do is cry and cry,\u00a0<\/strong>as I have to watch it, die.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Today I killed a mouse, and I feel I too want to die,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

But no, because all I can do is sigh, and sigh, then just cry.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Never again can I think of a mouse, without seeing those eyes of fear;<\/strong><\/h4>\n

that I won\u2019t stop and think, and wind up with a tear.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

God! I killed a mouse, and cannot understand how people kill,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

things that live, and not feel what I now feel, and always will.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What pain and heartbreak I have in me,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

So God ! Help me to never again kill anything I see.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Because I watched a little mouse that only wanted food,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

die because of me, so and now all can I do is brood.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

God help me get good feelings back, and not be so sad,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

it\u2019s only a little mouse I caught with glue on a pad.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I\u2019m a man who has lived a long life, and think that I\u2019m so smart,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

but all I can feel now is to live with a broken heart.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

What\u2019s a little dirt and mess, against a life abound;<\/strong><\/h4>\n

that could still be happy, running, round and round.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I can’t seem to stop the pain and hurt that is in my heart<\/strong><\/h4>\n

so God! just show me how and make me smart<\/strong><\/h4>\n

to never be so foolish again, as to hurt another living being.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Help!Please help set me free!<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Yes, even a little mouse that eats, then leaves a little peeing.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

So what\u2019s a little cleaning after all that\u2019s said and done,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

to save a life, knowing it’s living and having fun.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Leaving little messes after all, it\u2019s only a little mouse<\/strong><\/h4>\n

who has chosen to live with me, in my little house.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

I want to tell the world about the mouse I caught today,<\/strong><\/h4>\n

so that all, can stop and think, hope and pray,\u00a0<\/strong>for that mouse I caught today.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Never again, can I watch a thing alive, die because of me.<\/strong><\/h4>\n
