Dreams???

The other night I fell asleep at about 11:30 after watching TV with my wife Claire and next thing I know, I’m in a foreign country. As in all my dreams, I’m in a place I know about but don’t know exactly why or where. I must say that most of my life I traveled mainly in Asia where most of my business was, and as I traveled in life I never had a problem going anywhere and being in complete control, but whenever I dreamed, I was always lost, but able to finish the dream with some success at the end, awaking knowing I just had the same dream I always have, then forgetting it and getting on with my day.
Last night it was different cause I was staying at a hotel with my wife Claire, but I found I had left the hotel in my underwear. Embarrassed, and Looking around to see how I could back to my hotel, I realized that I couldn’t even remember the name of the hotel. I had no money, no phone, no idea how I was going get back to my wife and clothes. First of all, how could I approach anyone as I was dressed, but I had to, no matter what! Never in my usual dreams, did have this problem making it even a bigger problem for me. Then added to that, I knew I was now 85 years old with a serious memory problem and not the stud I always was any longer. What to do? Find some way to cover myself up, and ask for help to get back to the hotel. How can I ask anyone where my hotel was when I didn’t know it’s name! Looking around, I figured I had to ask someone, so I picked an older man and walked up to him and asked if he could help me. Wondering if he spoke English and waited for his reaction. He looked at me but didn’t notice anything wrong with my appearance and answered with a slight accent. He said how could he help, and I answered that I needed some coins to call my hotel, as I needed to call my wife. At first he refused, but when I told him I would give him $50 when I got back to my hotel, he agreed and gave me a bunch of change and pointed to a line where people were waiting to use the phone. (I must explain here that the last TV show I had been watching that evening was about an old fashioned switch board operator in a show taking place in the 1890’s) so, it kind of came into my dream. Getting in line, I asked the man in front of me if there was a telephone book for me to look up a Hotel telephone number. He looked at me like he didn’t understand, so went to another person standing close by and asked him, but now I was standing in a warehouse office. The man was helpful and looked around but with no results. He told me to wait and would go get one. He disappeared out a door and as he did so I looked in my pocket as all of a sudden I had pants on and pulled out my wallet. I was immediately disappointed, cause it only had crumpled papers in it and no help! So I went searching myself for a phone book, but realizing I still didn’t know the name of the hotel, but thinking if I looked in the hotel section maybe the name would come to me. I saw another man and went to him and explained that I was not from here and was 85 years old and I couldn’t remember anything and just then I woke up but this time the feeling of being lost stayed with me and making me very sad till I realized it was just another one on my bad dream, but now in the next faze of my life. I’m writing this because this time my dream hit home… I was getting old, however,I did cover 10 million miles in my travels overseas for over 30 years and another 300,000 miles driving my Peterbilt motorhome without ever needing help to find places, and actually never concerned about ever getting lost, never needing a gps. Although sometimes the crazy wind would take me wherever it liked! No, not in my Motorhome! Take a look…
